In this example we will Network the Dreambox to your computer & the  internet
Remember to connect the cable to the Dreambox & Computer LAN Ports

Double click the My Computer Icon on your desktop

Now double click on My Network (Places)

Now double click on view network connections

Right click on Local Area Connection

Click properties

Make sure the Internet Protocal (TCP/IP) is checked
then double click on Internet Protocal (TCP/IP)

Now select the 'Use following IP Address'
in the IP Address type 192.168.1.10
in Subnet Mask type 255.255.255.0
the rest can remain blank
Click ok to save your settings

Now click ok to save and close

On your Dreambox click the Dream button to select the Menu
and select option (6) Setup
then select Expert Setup
now select Communication Setup
in the IP box type 192.168,1.5
in the Netmask box type 255.255.255.0
Set Type to LAN
Name Server can work on almost any address
you can use 127.0.0.1
gateway again can use any sddress
you can use 127.0.0.1
This is only for Networking between
the Dreambox & Computer not internet access

If your computer is fitted with a LAN Connection
you can use that connection otherwise you will
require a network card, you will also require a
cat 5 cross over cable, these come in various lenghts.
