Here we shall change the Keys and modify the TMFirmware.
Please Note only images upto and including v2.07 can be modified.

The first thing you will require is a bin.file of the 2.07 firmware
Download the programme Stb->Bin / Bin->Stb converter.
On first opening the Stb->bin converter you will be confronted with
the following screen, click file then click Open stb file.

If you do not have a copy of the required firmware v2.07
you can download a modified copy of v2.07 from the
TM Software Download Page, along with all other
programmes required to change the images and update certain keys.

Now locate where you placed the modified v2.07 stb.file
select it, and click Open.

The stb.file will now be loaded into the converter, all you need do
now is be a little patient and wait for the conversion to complete.

Once the conversion has finished you will get confirmation
from the pop-up box describing where the file is located,
which some of you may find handy, if you forget the location :o)
click the OK button to close the pop-up box, you can also close down
the converter for now as well.

Now that we have converted the stb file to a bin.file
we can go to the next stage and open the Editor, once opened
you will see the following screen.

Now for the fun part, click file then Open 207 bin

Locate the folder wher you previously stored the converted stb-bin file,
select the file and click Open

Once the file is loaded into the Editor, you will then get full access
to do the modifications to certain keys, and images.
You can also re-name the file and date, the version can not be altered,
but you can add a mod number if you so wish, here we added the mod
as L.

To update the TPS Keys in the main window all you need do
is a simple copy and paste, just copy the new keys and then
paste them in the main window of the Editor, you can delete the keys
that are already there, simply by highlighting them and then deleting them.
To update the other keys (SRG, Media Park or Rai) just click on the required button
then you will get access to the key editor for example if we were to update the
SRG Key 0A, then all we need do is click the SRG button, highlight Key 0A delete it and type or paste in the new Key 0A and finally click the Save Keys button.

Once you are satisfied that all the relevant Keys have been
updated, all you need to do now is save the changes v2.07 bin file.
To do this click file then save changes.

You will get a small pop-ip box confirming that the file was saved correctly
click the OK button and you can now also close down the Editor.

Now we need to convert the saved bin.file back to a stb.file
open the stb->bin converter and click file and Open bin file.

Now locate the folder where you stored the saved bin.file
and select the file and click Open

Next you will have to tell the programme what receiver & model
you are using, click the drop down menu and make your selection
in this example we are using the Technomate 1500CI.

Once you have correctly selected the correct receiver
you can clivk OK to start the conversion.
Also keep the two boxes checked CRC Fix & Checksum Fix.

Once the conversion starts, you will see no activity,
this is normal, so do not think the programme has
froze or crashed in any way, just be a little patient.

As soon as the conversion has completed, you will see the confirmation
pop up box, all you need do now is click OK and close down the converter.

The final step uploading our modified firmware to the receiver.
Open TM Loader v1.84, make sure it is set on Software, set the
correct com port, if your unsure which com port your connected to
click the Auto Detect button, this will then set the com port for you.
And do not forget to connect your null modem cable between
your receiver and your computer.

Click the browse button, and locate the modified firmware you just made.

Once you have located the modified firmware, select it and click Open.

With the modified firmware loaded, all you need do now is upload it
to your receiver as normal, so to beguin click Connect to TM, and
then follow the instructions untill the upload has completed.

You have now modified the firmware and uploaded it to your receiver.
You can now start using your receiver as normal.
